ON THE EDGE

'On The Edge' was our entry into the University of Portsmouth's 48 hour film challenge in 2020, where we had to include the following:

Title: On The Edge

Line of dialogue: "It was like that before I got here"

Genre: Sci-Fi or Romance.

We were all ever so happy with the end result and even won three of the award categories for Best Film, Best Effects and Best Cinematography.

For this film we had lots of fun brainstorming different possibilities of how we can interpret the prompts we were given. I figured that they all worked well for a time travel plot so thats what we settled on.

As I wanted it to look like we traveled to the very edge of time, we definitely couldn't just film it anywhere in Portsmouth. Luckily from my history of urban exploring, I knew of an abandoned World War two fort that was fairly local. This was an excellent location to use as it had some amazing scenery and really suited the tone we were after.
