THE OTHER

'The Other' was our entry into the University of Portsmouth's 48 hour film challenge in 2019, where we had to include the following:

Title: The Other

Line of dialogue: "We've get a 50/50 chance"

Genre: Horror or Disaster

For our first time entering a film challenge we were all absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for every award category and then come away with awards for Best Film, Best Story and Best Cinematography.

The prompts all sort of went hand in hand for this film, they were a good guide to follow when making the story. All we had to do was get creative with how we made the story flow. I figured we made the best use of what was available to us as students and build a story around that. This is how we landed on dodgy technology creating dopplegängers.

Then we got creative with costume and facepaint and attempted to make it look like the ink was running out when printing the clones. That's how we made our monster!
